Idris Haron Heads List Of Melaka TYT Awards

MELAKA, Oct 13 (Bernama) -- Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron who was conferred the Darjah Utama Negeri Melaka (DUNM) which carries the title Datuk Seri Utama, headed a list of 923 recipients in conjunction with the 78th birthday of the Yang Dipertua Negeri of Melaka Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob.

Melaka State Secretary Datuk Naim Abu Bakar said Idris was the only recipient of the DUNM this year and he was the only Melaka Chief Minister to be bestowed the title which would be presented in investiture ceremonies held over three sessions on Saturday (Oct 15) and Sunday (Oct 16) as well as Nov 19.

He will join 229 recipients to receive their awards on Saturday while honours and titles for 378 people would be presented on Sunday and the remaining awardees will be conferred on Nov 19.

Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem was among 11 recipients of the Darjah Gemilang Seri Melaka (DGSM) which carries the title Datuk Seri together with the Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa and Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali.

Other DGSM recipients included Naim himself, Chief of Navy Admiral Tan Sri Ahmad Kamarulzaman Ahmad Badaruddin, Prime Minister's Special Envoy to South African Countries Prof Emeritus Tan Sri Dr Lim Kok Wing and Jasin MP Datuk Ahmad Hamzah.

Also conferred the DGSM were Melaka Public Works and Utilities Exco Datuk Abdul Ghafaar Atan, Concord Alliance Sdn Bhd executive chairman Tan Sri Mohd Hussin Abd Hamid, Tanjung Offshore Bhd deputy executive chairman Tan Sri Tan Kean Soon and another recipient to be announced later.

National badminton player Datuk Lee Chong Wei was among 20 recipients of the Darjah Cemerlang Seri Melaka (DCSM) which carries the title Datuk Wira, with Deputy Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Dr Abu Bakar Mohamad Diah.

Melaka Health, Sports and Anti-Dadah Exco Datuk Ab Rahaman Ab Karim; Melaka Youth Development and Heritage Deputy Exco Datuk Norpipah Abdol; Melaka Tourism, Beach, River and Island Development Deputy Exco Datuk Ghazale Muhamad; Public Works director-general Datuk Seri Dr Roslan Md Taha.

Deputy Health director-general Prof Datuk Dr S. Jeyaindran, Bukit Aman Special Branch director Datuk Seri Mohamad Fuzi Harun, Malaysian Forestry Research and Development Board member Datuk Sheikh Othman Sheikh Abdul Rahman, Malaysian Franchise Association chairman Datuk Md Latip Sarrugi.

Malaysian Institute of Historical and Patriotism Studies (IKSEP) chairman Prof (Adjunct) Datuk Dr Mohd Jamil Mukmin, Melaka Basketball Association president Datuk Tan Kang Yong, Melaka MCA advisor Datuk Gan Tian Loo, Melaka UMNO Veteran Council chairman Datuk Sy Abdul Rahman Sy Mohammad Alhabshi, Masjid Tanah UMNO division deputy head Datuk Abd Talib Bachek.

Putrade Property Management Sdn Bhd chairman Tan Sri Alies Anor Abdul, Smart Home Asia Sdn Bhd director Datuk Seri Dr Tan Lung Lai, Berjaya Assets Bhd executive director Datuk Lye Ek Seang, Vascory AG director Datuk Ranjeet Singh Sidhu, and another person to be announced later.

Fourteen recipients of the Darjah Mulia Seri Melaka (DMSM) which carries the title Datuk were the Malaysian Ambassador to France Datuk Ibrahim Abdullah, Melaka State Mufti Abdul Halim Tawil, Judicial Commissioner Datuk Mohd Firuz Jaffril, 3 Division Headquarters Commander Maj Gen Datuk Hasagaya Abdullah.

Melaka police chief DCP Datuk Ramli Din, Prime Minister's Department Protection Division director-general Mazlan Lazim, Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka director-general Abdul Adzis Abas, Tangga Batu UMNO division secretary Datuk Shamsudin Mehat, Melaka Chief Minister's political secretary Rosli Hasan.

Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (Kuantan Campus) Neurology lecturer and specialist Prof Dr Mohamed Saufi Awang; Melaka Hospital Medical Consultant Dr Kauthaman A. Mahendran; Affin Hwang Investment Bank Sdn Bhd Group Managing Director Maimoonah Mohamed Hussain.

XINYI Glass Holdings Limited executive director Tung Ching Sai, and China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN) president Zhang Shanming both received the honourary DMSM.

A total of 122 people received the Darjah Pangkuan Seri Melaka (DPSM) which carries the title Datuk, among them were Melaka deputy police chief SAC Datuk Ruslan Hasan; Defence Minister's military advisor Brigadier General Arman Rumaizi Ahmad; Multimedia University chief executive Prof Dr Ahmad Rafi Mohamed Eshaq.

Berita Harian executive editor Ahmad Zaini Kamaruzzaman, Broadcasting Department Radio Programme Division director Wan Bukhari Wan Daud, Utusan Melayu (M) Bhd editor Zulkefli Hamzah, Melaka State Development Corporation chief executive officer Azmi Hussain.

Melaka Chief Minister's Department deputy finance officer Abdul Wahab Shamsudin, Inland Revenue Board deputy chief executive officer Noor Azian Abdul Hamid, United Chinese School Teachers' Association of Malaysia chairman Ong Kow Ee @ Ong Chiow Chuen.

Alor Gajah UMNO division secretary Ghafar Misdar, Sinar Jernih Sdn Bhd director Mohd Said Osman, Tangga Batu UMNO division assistant secretary Isnin Aman, Tangga Batu MIC division chairman S. Gunasegaran.

Apart from that, 62 received the Darjah Seri Melaka (DSM) while 74 people including Melaka United striker Ilija Spasojevic were awarded the Bintang Cemerlang Melaka (BCM) and the Bintang Khidmat Terpuji (BKT) was awarded to 195 recipients.

Meanwhile, BERNAMA Melaka Bureau Sales Marketing senior executive Masiron Kassiran was among 208 to receive the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK), 186 people were conferred the Pingat Bakti Masyarakat (PBM) while 30 were awarded the Pingat Khidmat Lama (PKL).
