Berlin conference: World not on track to limit global warming to 2°C, more needs to be done.The third Petersberg Climate Dialogue was held on Monday and Tuesday in Berlin, as a precursor to the much larger World Climate Summit in Doha later this year. At the conference, delegates from 35 governments, including China and the U.S., agreed that countries' voluntary commitments to cut emissions are insufficient to limit global warming to 2°C, and nations need additional measures. Germany Environment Minister Altmaier also said Doha would be a key transition in climate policy, where "deals that are only binding for a few countries will give way to deals that bind all of us."
