President Cup final round to be held in GBK.
JAKARTA -- The final round of president cup 2015 tournament which will be followed by Persib Bandung and Sriwijaya FC clubs will take place in Gelora Bung Karno main stadium here on Sunday (Oct.18), a spokesmen said.
"We have communicated with all participating clubs at the beginning of the tournament that the final round without we know which clubs that will advance to the final.
As the matter of fact Persib and Sriwijaya FC advanced to the final," CEO of Mahaka, Hasani Abdulgani who organizes the president cup told the press here on Wednesday.
With regard to the security situation during the match, Abdulgani believed that Bobotoh or supporters of Persib will not create disturbances.
Persib Bandung soccer club of West Java advanced to final round of the President Cup 2015 after crushing Mitra Kukar team of East Kalimantan 3-1 in Bandung, West Java on Saturday evening.
Persib advanced to the final after leading in the aggregate 3-2 over Mitra Kukar in the second leg of the semifinals which took place in the Si Jalak Harupat Soreang, Bandung District.
In the first leg which took place on Sunday (Oct 4) Mitra Kukar defeated Persib 1-0.
Meanwhile, Sriwijaya FC of South Sumatra defeated Arema Cronus Indonesia of Malang, East Java 2-1 in the second leg of semifinals of the President Cup which took place in the Manahan Solo stadium on Sunday evening.
Sriwijaya`s player Asri Akbar scored a goal in the 44th minute which turned the score into 1-0.
Arema was finally able to equalize the score in 73rd minute through overhead kick by left leg of Lancine Kone, and changed the position 1-1.
However, in 82nd minute, Musafri netted the second goal for Sriwijaya through a header by utilizing cross from Dwi Rizki, thus changed the position into 2-1.
On Saturday (Oct 3) Sriwijaya FC and Arema shared 1-1 score in the first leg of the President Cup semi-finals 2015 played in Malang, East Java.
Arema`s striker Cristian Gonzales scored a goal in the 58th minute, but Sriwijaya FC`s Wildansyah equalized in the 72nd minute through a header in the match played at the Kanjuruhan Kepanjen stadium.
Four soccer clubs, namely Mitra Kukar of East Kalimantan, Persib Bandung of West Java, Sriwijaya FC of South Sumatra and Arema Cronus Indonesia of Malang, East Java advanced to the semifinals of the President Cup.
